Who has to report
Anyone staying in Thailand for 90 consecutive days or more on a long-stay visa (retirement, marriage, Non-B, ED, LTR, DTV) must file a 90-day report declaring their current address. The clock starts on your last date of entry — if you leave and return, it resets.
Tourist visa and visa-exempt holders do not file 90-day reports because their permission to stay is under 90 days.
Filing windows and methods
File no earlier than 15 days before, and no later than 7 days after, your 90-day due date. Late filing attracts a 2,000 THB fine; failing to file repeatedly can be cited against you at your next visa renewal.
- Online — Immigration Bureau portal or the official Immigration mobile app. Fastest option, but the system rejects you on first filing or after any change of address.
- Postal — registered mail with form TM.47, copy of passport pages, and a return envelope, sent at least 15 working days before the due date.
- In person — at your local Immigration office, with passport and TM.47.
- By agent — your visa agent can file on your behalf with a copy of your passport and a signed authorisation.
TM.30 vs TM.47 — don't confuse them
TM.30 is the landlord's report of your address, filed within 24 hours of you moving in. It must exist on the system before the immigration officer will accept your 90-day report. If your 90-day filing keeps failing online with a vague 'data mismatch' error, the most common cause is a missing or out-of-date TM.30.
Address changes
If you change address between reports, a new TM.30 must be filed by your new landlord within 24 hours of your arrival, and you should file a TM.28 to notify Immigration of the new permanent address. Skipping this is the most common cause of 90-day reports being refused.
Pattaya drop-off service
We file 90-day reports for clients across Pattaya, Jomtien, Sattahip and Bang Lamung for 800 THB per filing. Drop off a copy of your passport photo page, current visa stamp, departure card and last 90-day receipt — we return the new acknowledgement slip the next working day.
